
Senator John Faulkner’s Ministerial responsibilities within the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet include, as Cabinet Secretary, management of Cabinet business. Senator Faulkner also has responsibility for the Australian Public Service Commission, Commonwealth Integrity Agencies such as the Australian National Audit Office, the Commonwealth Ombudsman, the National Archives and the Inspector General of Intelligence and Security.
Senator Faulkner also has responsibility for freedom of information, privacy, and Old Parliament House.
Within the Department of Finance and Deregulation, Senator Faulkner, as Special Minister of State, is responsible for Members and Parliamentary Staff Entitlements, and also has oversight of the Australian Electoral Commission.
He is also Vice-Chair of the Executive Council.
