Special Minister of State Gary Gray tabled the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 Annual Report 2010-11 in Parliament today.
This year’s annual report includes:
- an overview of the employment framework for Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 (MOP(S) Act) employees;
- staffing overview, including position allocations, and employee numbers and types;
- a summary of employee work bases, non-standard work bases, and alternative work locations as approved by the Special Minister of State;
- details of paid personal and carer’s leave taken by MOP(S) Act employees;
- salary ranges, salaries above the range and non-salary benefits; and
- other information including determinations made under the MOP(S) Act during 2010-11 and relevant information regarding Occupational Health and Safety, learning and development opportunities (including the Professional Development Program), and fraud prevention and control.
“Since coming to office in 2007, the Labor Government has led a significant integrity agenda, including greater scrutiny of government information,” Mr Gray said.
“The annual report reaffirms this Government’s commitment to better transparency and accountability in government.”
